Story Time

Scarlet hasn't been interested in books until about a week ago. I should clarify and say she's into ONE book and it's called Playtime Peekabooh! It's the only book that she will allow me to open and read to her. If she doesn't like something she will either cry or hold her breath so that her pulse-ox alarms. She knows that an alarming pulse-ox will get out attention! Her favorite part of the book is the first page because it has a furry touch and feel bear. She likes to rub her index finger on his soft fur.

I'm on the hunt for other books that might peak her interest so please share some suggestions.

    Hi! There is a series of books that all start with, That's Not My.....there are many of them and they range from cars, to pets, to fairies, etc. They are all sensory touch books and are Great. I think that Scarlett would love!
    I, too, follow your blog....I do not know you guys, personally, but, am always praying for your family and for that Precious little Scarlett. She has touched my life.....I think it is something about those EYES:):)

    Have you seen the "Scanimation" books? They've got one called Waddle!, another called Swing! and a third called Gallop!I know that you've mentioned a few times that she will watch tv. When you turn the pages of these books, the animals look like they're running across the page. She just might love them!

    Beautiful little angel!! She knows just what to do to get your attention smart girl!! I've researched a little and if you go to amazon.com and search touch and feel books.....theres many different books to choose from for example:: puppies and kitten,farm,trucks,animal kisses,wild animals,farm peekaboo etc.. theres too many to list but home this helps!! They have touch and feel for toddlers,babies etc!! Hope you find some on there you like!!

    Thanks for sharing all of Scarlett's funnies ;-) What a spunky chick - holding her breath! She and Nina would get along famously! I am pretty sure that Playtime Peekaboo is just one of many similar books by the same publisher. Nina has several and they are her fave, too.
