Clostridium difficile

Scarlett has Clostridium difficile or better known as "C. Diff." This is why she was having flu-like symptoms of weakness, fever, dehydration and diarrhea. We were told that if a patient is left untreated, they can die from it. Death is rare but still very scary! They are putting Scarlett on antibiotics so that should clear everything up. Thank goodness for the GI department at Phoenix Children's Hospital. They have treated Scarlett like she is one of their own.
