Power Outage
Today in sunny Scottsdale Arizona we had a power outage. Yes, a power outage. There wasn't a storm or a gust of wind that disrupted the electrical lines. A part simply gave out and had to be replaced. Unfortunately that meant we didn't have power for over 8 hours. Luckily we had back-up power to run all of her machines (ventilator, suction machine, feeding pump, pulse-ox, svn machine, IPV machine and cough assist machine). I was so worried that something was going to happen with our back-up power. We almost ended up going to a hotel. I'm going to have to do some brainstorming this weekend and come up with a back-up to our back-up power... Scarlett didn't know anything was going on. To her, it was business as usual. Winnie The Pooh and Madagascar kept her entertained all day.

My younger sister requires a lot of medical equipment too...my parents recently purchased a generator for the house. Kicks on within 30-60 seconds after a power outage. Just a thought :)

I was going to mention a generator too.
