TLSO and AFOs

Today we went to Hanger Orthotics.  Scarlett had a casting for a custom TLSO (back brace) and Ankle-Foot Orthotics.  They use the cast to make a custom brace.  The TLSO will give Scarlett more support for sitting and it will hopefully help Scarlett's scoliosis from getting worse.  The AFOs will help keep her foot in proper alignment.  Scarlett picked out the prettiest colors.  I can't wait to see how they turn out!  They take about a month to make.

Getting ready for our appointment.

All ready!
Grandma Susan happened to have an appointment at the clinic too!  And it happened to be at the same time.  What are the chances?  Grandma Susan has a sore foot and needs orthotics.
Casting her chest.  She didn't like it very much.  It was sticky and wasn't very comfortable.

Waiting for it to set.
Casting for AFOs.
Home!  The sun was so bright!

What tiny feet she has, I am used to my big footed children. Then again I wear a size 11. She looked beautiful in her outfit. I should go in and get my feet checked, I wonder if my feet could do some good with orthotics. Hoping for some cooler weather for some good outdoor walking.
