Happy Day

We had a happy day today. It was just me and Scarlett. I have to admit I love our alone time. We went on a walk today and I couldn't help but tear up in the middle of our walk. These were not sad tears. They were happy tears. Tears of joy because we were on a walk in January. One of the coldest months of the year. Being able to leave the house with Scarlett in January for non-emergency reasons a true gift. We've been on "lockdown" for months because of this horrible flu season. Scarlett's fragile body can't handle a cold or flu bug. Imagine not being able to cough, blow your nose or struggle to just inhale and exhale. I am so fearful that I will get sick or that Scarlett will get sick and pass away. I am scared to go grocery shopping, to have lunch with friends and to do simple things like pump gas in Scarlett's van. There are germs everywhere! I don't think I could live with myself if I got my angel sick so I choose to limit my exposure to the outside world. Today was special because we "broke-out!" We were able to leave the house and do something safe. Something that was totally germ free. Today was a happy day!

If I ever come across one of those Mother of The Year contests again...I will definitely be entering YOU, Annie. I am humbled by the LOVE u show to your angel. May I somehow be even half the selfless woman u are!! I continue to follow you guys even though I dont "post". I finally figured out that u can scroll all the way to the bottom and choose "anonymous" bc every time I'd try to comment, I didnt know a password/couldnt figure it out. U r not alone, Annie. I pray for u every day & God is w u. LOOOOVE hearing about Scarlett. Nicki (Joe's friend)

Scarlett is truly blessed to have such a loving, caring mother! You are a rare person in this day and age. There are so many other kids out there who need to be loved like you love Scarlett! Happy to be a reading part of you and Scarletts life.

Hi Nicki! You are going to make me cry! Thank you for your kind words and prayers! Joe is lucky to have you in his life. I hope the three of us can get together sometime in the future. How fun would that be?
