Out of the PICU
We are out of the PICU and now on the respiratory floor. This is where we will get hands on training with the trach. There is a lot to learn but luckily we have a strong foundation and already know all of the machines and how to suction. We have to each do three trach changes and a 24 hour stay alone with no assistance before they will discharge us.
