Adjusting

We have been home from the hospital for almost three weeks. It has been a difficult adjustment for all of us. Scarlett has been  in a lot of pain. We don't know exactly were the pain is coming from. It could be the rods in her back, the gaping wound in her back, the trach or the ventilator settings. It's just really hard to know what is causing her discomfort. I also think she is having some anxiety from the surgeries and from her extended hospital stay.  We have tried various pain medications since she has been home and I think we finally have the pain under control.
