8th Annual OKI Walk-n-Roll

Yesterday I attended the local "Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy" walk (www.FSMA.org). The local families were so welcoming. I really felt at home with all of them. It was cool to see the SMA kids buzzing around in their power wheelchairs. I have dreamed of seeing Scarlett operate a wheelchair all by herself and they gave me some hope that one day Scarlett might be able to do that! There were so many SMA families and supporters there. The walk was a huge success and I'm already excited for next years walk.

I almost forgot to mention that I won a raffle. I was shocked when they called my name because I've never won a raffle before. I won a family gold pass to the Cincinnati Zoo! Woohoo! This couldn't of been a better prize to win. We just moved to Cincinnati and we are trying to explore the city. Scarlett loves going to the zoo and I know we will be going there a lot.


We (Jenny, Hope, Me, Grandma, Sarah, Jen and Mimi) took a picture next to Scarlett's sign. We all ran up to the sign when we saw it. We just moved to Cincinnati and the local families already made a sign for Scarlett. How thoughtful!
