Owly Girl

I wanted Scarlett to pick out her Halloween costume this year. I held up a bunch of pictures and I asked her what she would like to be. She ignored my pictures and looked at mommy & daddy's owl paintings. She clearly wanted to be an owl. I went on Pottery Barn Kids website to order an owl costume and they were all sold out. I called our local mall and they were sold out too. Grandma Liz then offered to help. Her mall had one costume left! Hooray! She hurried over to the store to pick it up before someone else did. She got there in just in time. They had suggested that Grandma buy a treat bag to go with her costume. Grandma had to then explain to them that Scarlett isn't able to eat due to her disease. (We are actually going to give her a treat bag full of stickers). The employee at Pottery Barn Kids then offered to BUY Scarlett her Halloween costume. How sweet is that??? We are all so touched by her generosity. This is going to be an extra special Halloween. We didn't celebrate it last year because Scarlett was sick at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

What a beautiful owl you are!

I loved you as the purple princess, too!

You are just so adorable no matter what you wear but you do have the cutest outfits for sure.
