Doing A Lot Better

We switched Scarlett's C-Diff medication on Thursday and within hours she was doing better. The antibiotic was making her sick. She seems to be tolerating her new antibiotics. She will be on this new medication for 6 weeks! I hope this takes care of the c-diff!

Scarlett isn't a big fan of baths. As you can tell in these pictures...

I've had to give her more baths than usual because baby wipes do not kill c-diff. Good old soap and water is the only thing that will kill it. Hand sanitizer doesn't even kill it. I've thrown out at least 5 pairs of pajamas this week because she has completely soiled them. C-diff is difficult to get out of clothes so I've had no choice but to throw them out. Poor girl. At least that gives me an excuse to shop for more pajamas.

Scarlett also got her RSV shot on Friday. RSV is a highly contagious viral infection that could be life threatening for Scarlett. It was a struggle to get the insurance to cover it because of the high cost but they eventually did. It costs over a $1,000 per shot. Yes, over a $1,000 for a shot and Scarlett requires TWO shots EVERY MONTH. Yes, two shots every month during the cold & flu season. This picture was taken about an hour after her shots. She is such a little trooper.
