Brushing her hair

Scarlett loves to get her hair brushed after a bath. I have to admit, I enjoy it as well. When I brush her hair, she locks eyes with mine and has this "thank you mom" look in her eyes. She looks so peaceful. With each new brush stroke she closes her eyes for a moment and then reopens them when I get to the end of her hair. I spent a good 30 minutes just brushing her hair. It's the little things in life like brushing my daughter's hair that bring me the most joy.

Oh my...I cant believe how long her hair is! Wow. I am so glad this is such a special moment for the both of you.

The emollient hand cream will really help your hands. Put it on before bed then wear gloves (for as long as you can stand it) or if you do dishes put it on then put on rubber gloves (a pair you dont mind greasing up the insides of). I hope that and the cream help. I am looking forward to slathering mine up before bed. I have gone through 3 bottles of sanitizer this week with our little bug and my hands are feeling it.

Scarlett- I wanted to write to you earlier in the week (but we were all SO sick and it was hard to think of what to write) when I saw your mom's treasure post. I loved seeing you with your "holiday hair bling"...put a smile on my face. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas sweet girl. Sending you love hugs and peppermint kisses.
